Here in the Netherlands there is a tv show which is about Dutch people who have fallen in love with a foreigner and decided to move there and leave everything behind. There people, mostly women, often move to a country where the life standards are so much different then they are used to. I admire that… but life is so much more simple there. If you live in a small village, why would you need a cellphone, or be able to talk to someone over the computer? Life seems to be more pure there.

I hope that on our trip we will once again get in touch with what is pure in the world… because it somehow seems like we already are living a life which comes close to what is described in the Matrix. Yes we still have some choices but the main decisions are being made by corporations and goverments which are poluted with political games and searching for what makes them better… at all costs. I just went to see the movie Avatar, which was very good but also shook me up. In childens books and perfect worlds it is always human who attack nature or what is beautiful… and it’s always the ‘others’ who survive and protect the good. That should say something about us… we teach kids that nature is good but kids most of the time hardly get to see nature. ARgh… I’m rambling and will try to stop my brain,  I just hope that this trip will teach me to revalue my life and help me decide where and how I want to live it from then on.
